Melody owns and operates Owen Communications, a sole-proprietorship, which supports entrepreneurs and small business to complete market research that leads to effective, action-based business plans. She works with each client to determine exactly what information is needed and how that information will lead to action in order to accomplish the business goals set out by the entrepreneur.
Gummy Bear Press, a company that publishes limited edition books written and illustrated by children, is Melody's newest venture. Gummy Bear Press also works with schools and other institutions to encourage literacy by allowing the children to take part in the process of writing and binding their very own books.
Melody has traveled and worked in Asia and South America. In Peru, she consulted for Oxford University Press as they increased their market share in Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia. She travelled extensively through the three countries promoting Oxford University Press and speaking at conferences within the industry.
With experience in many industries, including education, manufacturing, information technology, publishing, and consulting, Melody brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to each client she works with.
